Foods that are grown, processed and packed by strictly avoiding chemical contamination at all levels known as organic food. Synthetic bio inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, and many other chemically prepared solutions are being used by farmers in conventional farming and due to continuous excessive use of these bio inputs, these harmful chemicals entered the human body via foods.
Organic farming does not allow any synthetic bio inputs while growing foods so all organic foods are grown in natural ways using natural or organic bio inputs only. So organic food is 100% safe and free from harmful pesticides.
A food that has complete nutrition and does not contain any harmful substance within it is known as organic food.
As per FSSAI rules and regulation, Those products which are organically certified as per NPOP (India Organic) and NOP(USDA) norms can have the respective organic logo on their final retail packs and can use the word “organic” within the product name. We can identify or recognize organic food by these logos or with the term “organic” before the product name.
